Recently, the Michigan Department of Education released the annual Top to Bottom rankings of all Michigan public schools. The rankings are based on performance on State assessments and at the high school level, graduation rates as well. We are extremely proud to share that Lawton High School is the #1 ranked high school in Van Buren County for 2013-14 ranking higher than all county high schools including Mattawan and Paw Paw High Schools. LHS is currently ranked in the 87th percentile of all schools statewide. This means that using the state formula for ranking schools, we performed better than 87% of all Michigan public schools. This ranking is also one of the highest in the entire Kalamazoo area. Congratulations to the high school students and staff on this fine accomplishment!
