The link below shares exciting information from Lansing about the potential for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) endorsements on high school diplomas. Lawton has been an area leader in STEM programming joining only South Haven and Gobles as Van Buren County Schools with STEM programs through Project Lead the Way. Our program provides students with 2 years of Engineering coursework which leads to an additional 2 years at the Van Buren Technology Center. We anticipate that program participants will be much better prepared for Engineering college courses and careers. Lawton Community Schools will continue to seek out meaningful and rigorous opportunities for all of our students. For more information about the LHS STEM program, contact LHS Principal Tammy Wilson or Supt. Chris Rice.
